Douglas Motorsport collect Ginetta Junior Team Crown

Ginetta Cars held their annual gala awards night at the
Birmingham Hilton Hotel on Friday 11th January. Hosted by Chairman
Lawrence Tomlinson, all of the season’s winners were in attendance to collect
their awards across all of Ginetta’s main UK & Irish Championships.
Douglas Motorsport was well represented with both team
drivers Andrew Watson and Niall Murray in attendance. Despite entering the
championship as a rookie team, lead by Wayne Douglas they finished the season
as overall Junior Team Champions along with Niall taking third overall in the
drivers championship.
Speaking during the evening, Team Principal Wayne Douglas
commented on what had been a very positive season; “we are absolutely delighted
to have taken the team championship in our rookie season. I was confident right
from the off that we had one of the best driver pairings in the championship
and both drivers proved that to be the case throughout the season.”
